Georgia man arrested for unlawful breaking and entering, theft of property

AUBURN, Ala. - On Sept. 2, 2025, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Saraland Police Department, arrested Christopher Michael McCullum, age 51, from Sugar Hill, Georgia, on warrants charging him with unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and theft of property third degree.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving a report of an auto burglary on Aug. 5, 2025. Officers met with a victim who reported that on Aug. 4, a suspect unlawfully entered a vehicle parked near the 2500 block of Buc-ee’s Boulevard and stole property from the vehicle.
After further investigation, Christopher Michael McCullum was developed as a suspect and arrest warrants were obtained. McCullum was located by the Saraland Police Department in Saraland, Alabama and arrested in obedience to the warrants.
On Sept. 2, 2025, McCullum was transported from the Mobile County Metro Jail to the Auburn Police Department, and the arrest warrants were executed. McCullum was then transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $4,500 bond.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
